Well, HELLO there. If you're looking for a ridiculously rich finish...chewy and sinfully rich...
Well look no further...Hello Snickers Bars will meet all of your needs!
Cool and cut into 16 squares...and try to remember to breathe!
Hello Snickers Bars!
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup chocolate wafers, crushed
- 1 cup caramel, melted
- 1 cup roasted peanuts, chopped
- 1 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
Melt 1 stick of butter in a square 8x8 pan. Layer over this chocolate wafer crumbs, caramel, peanuts, chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes, (350 for a glass pan). Cool and cut into 16 squares.
Ah ha: I dreamed these up for my guy who sneaks Snickers Candy Bars on occasion. I baked mine at 350 instead of 325, forgetting all the rules with a dark pan. They were too crunchy around the edges. Also, the caramel makes them sticky and hard to cut in the pan. Next time I will line my pan with parchment paper, let the bars cool and then lift them out (with the parchment) and cut them into squares on a flat cutting board.

Oh my word...that is definitely the most divine and delicious looking treat I have ever seen! I am so going to make this. Thanks for posting this amazing recipe.
ReplyDeleteThanks also for your visit today! I have been trying to remember what the name of my granite is and all I can remember is River White.
Hope you have a great day!
Best wishes,
Natasha.

Oh this looks dangerous! I know a couple people at the office that would be lining up for this one!
ReplyDeleteSnickers bars!! That would be my favorite candy bar so these have to be absolutely delicious. They bring to mind classic "magic cookie bars" only even BETTER.
ReplyDeleteSnickers are our favorite too...I make this too but I use a cake mix, butter some Eagle brand for the bottom layer, then after 2/3 of this it baked for 6-10 min. I put a layer of chocolate chips and then the melted caramels with some eagle brand mixed into it over this with peanuts on top, with the remaining cake mixture on top and finish baking at 350 for 16-20 min.
ReplyDeleteIt is so good...I'll have to try your version too! Thanks for sharing it :D

ReplyDeleteWOW!!!! Just what I was looking for. =) It's "Teacher Appreciation" Week & my 2nd grader's teacher LOVES Snickers. I want to bake her something homemade, rather than purchase a bunch of candy bars...this is perfect! I guarantee my "Little Guy" will get an "A+" in her book after trying these. Thanks for posting.
