Five On Friday

(If your blog is featured, please grab a button on the right.)
Got an extra rain gutter on hand? If not, you'll want one like Jacqueline. She's posted one of the best party desserts ever. You'll love the how to and results posted at Purple Chocolat Home for this ingenious Pig's Trough For a Crowd. I'm already planning to make it for an upcoming family reunion and getting ready for an uproar, including some snorting!
You'll never want to buy a bow again! Oh, you can buy the cheap ones that are smashed and crinkled, but why would you? My fabulously fun friend, Debbie at Words On Wheels, admits to having a problem common to many of us. Adventures in Hoarding Part 2: Bow Making will have you tied in knots and you'll learn a new trick. Don't need bows? Go find out what is happening to all of your missing scissors!

Need a summer party and some buzzzzz? Bird at Bird Crafts creates the most amazing party ideas. You'll want to buzz by her Honey-Bee Day Party . It's just bee-utiful, and sweet for any occasion!

Recently I picked up some fabric on a whim! I just fell madly in love and had to have it. Looking for a perfect pattern, I was delighted to stumble on One More Mixtape Quilt at, Oh Fransson! by Elizabeth Hartman. Well designed, the pattern includes 3 different block sizes for 4",6" and 8" squares, and 3 different layouts for a total of 9 quilt patterns in one! I have the fabric, and bought the 19 page PDF pattern (it's awesome and I received it in 1 hour). I am excited to get started! Anybody want to quilt along?

Let's wrap up this week with Valerie, at Frugal Family Fun Blog is saving money and having fun with her little ones this summer using paint and potatoes! I remember doing this when I was young and we made Christmas cards and teacher thank you notes. Make a merry memory, bright and cheery, Watermelon Wrapping Paper makes a gift almost too cute to open!

Have an inspired weekend all!

  1. Well, THANK you! You always say the nicest things, and now you have featured me. If I were in your neck of the woods, I would give you a (grizzly) bear hug. You know I'll be showing off that button!

I am only familiar with one of the other blogs. This means that I get a chance to discover some new favorites.

  2. HI Gnee!!

Thank you for fetauring my party here!!

  3. Oh I love the pig's trough! Brilliant. Thanks for the salad dressing idea for the kids. I'm going to try that!

    Lots of yummy love,
Alex aka Ma What's For Dinner

  4. My Kids have eaten at Jacqueline's Pig Trough and had a great time! Love the Honey Bee Crafts too! Joni

  5. You are so kind!!! I am so flattered that you chose my Pig's Trough. You will love it for the family reunion. Some of the adults may be hesitant, I just tell them to find a spot and stick to it ( for the germaphobes). The kids have no problem. I feel dumb asking, but how do I "grab your button".

  6. Never Mind, I figured out how to add your button. Thanks again.

  7. The five blogs you featured are all wonderful and worth the attention you are directing their way. I hope you are having a great day. Blessings...Mary
